It is a virtual rematch of the last edition’s final, which England won. This match will take place on October 5. Each team is looking to prepare in order to adapt to the conditions in India, which will help them during the tournament.

Amid that, the New Zealand Cricket Board has made a big move. They have added some big names to their coaching staff. With only two months left until the start of the tournament, New Zealand has signed former Kiwi captain Stephen Fleming along with Ian Bell and James Foster to their coaching staff.

It is a pretty big move, considering the success Fleming had in the Indian Premier League. He has been the coach of the Chennai Super Kings and, along with MS Dhoni, led the franchise to five titles. His experience coaching in India will increase New Zealand’s chances.

Ian Bell will be the assistant coach during the upcoming T20I series against England, which will start later in August. On the other hand, James Foster, who was part of the coaching setup for New Zealand, will be back as an assistant coach. Notably, Foster is also the assistant coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Former Pakistani legend Saqlain Mushtaq is the bowling coach for New Zealand. With big names on the coaching staff, New Zealand will hope to get their hands on the trophy. They have made it to the final of the last two editions but lost both times. The Black Caps are also struggling with injuries to Kane Williamson, who is unlikely to play in the coming tournament.
