There have been many brilliant bowlers in the world right now who have performed well in every condition and against all the opposition. It is hard to pick someone as the best bowler of the current era.

The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Shaheen Afridi, Mitchell Starc, Kagiso Rabada, and a few more are considered the top bowlers in the modern era. These are the bowlers that do well not in one or two formats but across all three formats; their numbers and stats are just incredible.

That’s why it’s pretty tough to choose one among these. However, former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir, who was himself a fierce bowler of his time, seems to have picked a bowler who he seems is the best in business at the moment. He has named Kiwi left-arm pacer Trent Boult as his favorite bowler of the current generation.

Amir, who retired from international cricket in 2020 and was part of the recently concluded Abu Dhabi T10 League, had an on-field meeting with Boult, who was also playing in the league. The former PAK pacer shared the picture and wrote, “With my favorite bowler of this era, one and only Trent Boult.”

Amir played 8 matches in the competition and took 5 wickets at a brilliant economy rate of 7.75 in the T10 game. The former pacer bowled an over of all-time where he picked up four wickets and didn’t concede any runs. His 4/7 is the best spell in the recent season of the T10 League.

After not getting many chances for the Pakistan team, he decided to retire and is now continuing his career as a freelance cricketer and playing in various leagues around the world. There were a few rumors that the 31-year-old pacer might make a comeback with the newly appointed management of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and support staff, but the pacer has declined all such rumors and said that he is not planning to come out of retirement.
