India could make a few changes for the last game

India held its nerve to win the second T20I encounter against Kieron Pollard’s West Indies. With this, Team India has now won both the ODI and the T20I series against West Indies. Therefore, the final game could see a few changes. As per reports, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been rested for the final game. Hence, there will be an automatic vacancy within the squad.

Wasim Jaffer feels Ruturaj Gaikwad playing third T20I against West Indies might not be a good idea

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been waiting for an opportunity for a long time now. This is despite Ishan Kishan not making full use of his chances. However, speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Wasim Jaffer said that the management must remain patient with Ishan. He opined that the Jharkand cricketer must open the batting in the final game as well.

Regarding Ruturaj’s situation, Jaffer said, Then we must think about giving Ruturaj (Gaikwad) a chance in the Sri Lanka series. He should be given a longer rope, maybe a series. No point giving Ruturaj one game. It makes sense to have continuity with players so they know that they are going to play the full series.”

Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad has been selected for the Sri Lanka T20I series. With Virat Kohli and Pant missing that series, the CSK opener could fancy a chance against the Lankans.
