Former Indian cricket team batting coach Sanjay Bangar has opined that the Men in Blue could make a couple of changes to their playing XI for the third T20I match against the South African cricket team. The Proteas performed well in the first two T20Is of the five-match series and gained a 2-0 lead. They have an opportunity to seal the deal in Vizag tomorrow evening with another victory.

On the other side, the Indian team will be keen to avoid yet another defeat to the South African cricket team in 2022. Earlier this year, the Proteas beat India 2-1 in an ICC World Test Championship series, followed by a 3-0 clean sweep in the subsequent ODI series. Now, South Africa also have a chance to whitewashing the Men in Blue in the shortest format of cricket.

India’s bowling combination has not been the best in the first two matches. The fast bowlers and spinners have not fired in unison. Thus, Sanjay Bangar expects changes in the bowling unit.

Sanjay Bangar wants to see Arshdeep Singh in the Indian playing XI

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has cemented his place in the Indian playing XI with a four-wicket haul in the previous match, while Yuzvendra Chahal will likely get one more chance because he was the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2022. Even Harshal Patel has been impressive.

So Sanjay Bangar thinks Arshdeep Singh and Ravi Bishnoi could replace Avesh Khan and Axar Patel in the team. Here’s what he said on Star Sports:

“One option can be to play Bishnoi. If two wrist-spinners can give wickets to the Indian team in the middle overs, then they can break the momentum slightly. We have a lot of options for the first six overs, so we can try out Arshdeep in place of Avesh Khan.”
