Babar Azam stands as one of Pakistan’s most exceptional batsmen in history. As the current team captain, he exudes a unique and unparalleled class that sets him apart. Despite his youth, he’s drawn comparisons to cricket legends, a testament to his remarkable batting prowess.

It’s evident that Pakistan, renowned for producing formidable fast bowlers, has witnessed an extraordinary anomaly in Babar Azam. He not only leads the charts as the premier batter in all three formats of the game but also consistently shatters records, both existing and newly established ones.

During his appearance on the Nadir Ali podcast, Usman Shinwari expressed, “Without a doubt, my favorite player is Babar Azam. But, I firmly believe that Babar wields an incredibly potent threat in terms of ODIs and Test matches.”

Usman Shinwari further elaborated that Babar Azam’s approach in T20 matches revolves around conventional shots, lacking the element of unorthodoxy. This predictability, according to Shinwari, renders him a relatively easier target for bowlers like himself.

“As for the T20 matches, I won’t feel much pressure when facing him. Babar’s reliance on conventional shots means I don’t anticipate him attempting extravagant slogs or sudden unorthodox hits for sixes against deliveries of good length. So, I don’t feel any danger while bowling to him in T20s. Nonetheless, I continue to hold him in high regard as my preferred batsman in Tests and ODIs.”
