The Caribbean Premier League is happening at the moment. Quite a few other tournaments are also happening at the same time. Hence, player availability is an issue. Here, we take a look at the strong playing XI of retired cricketers in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2025.

Retired Openers in Caribbean Premier League 2025: Quinton de Kock (WK) and Alex Hales
Both these players are fine cricketers and have recently announced their retirements. QDK still plays for South Africa in T20Is but that is uncertain. For Alex, the current profession is as a freelance cricketer.
Middle-Order: Nicholas Pooran and Shakib Al Hasan
One of the shocking retirements this year was that of Nicholas Pooran. He is all set to become a pure freelance cricketer while Shakib’s career with Bangladesh is almost over, especially in T20Is.
Retired All-Rounders in Caribbean Premier League 2025 – Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Moeen Ali
It is a strong group of all-rounders in this XI. Kieron Pollard, despite his international retirement a few years ago, is still going strong. He is joined by the likes of Russell, who have announced their retirement recently.
Bowlers: Sunil Narine, Mohammad Amir, Naveen-ul-Haq and Imran Tahir
Naveen retired from ODIs in 2023. Hence, he is a part of this list. Both Sunil and Imran are doing well despite having not played for their nations for a while now.
