    Both these players are fine cricketers and have recently announced their retirements. QDK still plays for South Africa in T20Is but that is uncertain. For Alex, the current profession is as a freelance cricketer.

    Middle-Order: Nicholas Pooran and Shakib Al Hasan

    One of the shocking retirements this year was that of Nicholas Pooran. He is all set to become a pure freelance cricketer while Shakib’s career with Bangladesh is almost over, especially in T20Is.

    It is a strong group of all-rounders in this XI. Kieron Pollard, despite his international retirement a few years ago, is still going strong. He is joined by the likes of Russell, who have announced their retirement recently.

    Naveen retired from ODIs in 2023. Hence, he is a part of this list. Both Sunil and Imran are doing well despite having not played for their nations for a while now.
