The Emerging Teams tournament is back and it will be the Asia Cup that is happening right now. Team India has a strong squad filled with future potential stars. A lot of them could rely on this tournament to get a chance in the Indian Team. Here, we predict the strongest India A XI for the 2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
Openers: Sai Sudharsan and Prabhsimran Singh (WK)
Sai Sudharsan has been in top form in recent months. He is a talented cricketer and playing for India A will be the next step in his career. Prabhsimran has had a decent few months, too, and will look to make a strong statement with his performances at the top of the order.
Middle-Order: Yash Dhull (C), Nikin Jose and Dhruv Jurel
Yash Dhull will captain India in the 2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. The player has captained the Indian U19 Team in the past and therefore, he will not be short of experience. Nikin Jose from Karnataka has shown good potential and India A would be a good platform for him. Dhruv Jurely impressed many in the recent IPL and he will look to do well in the role of a finisher.
All-Rounders: Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag and Nishant Sindhu
It will be a strong group of all-rounders in the strongest India A XI for the 2023 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup. Abhishek Sharma might have preferred to bat in the top order but for him to get close to the Indian Team, he has to do well here. The same holds good with Riyan Parag, who will also be under pressure to deliver because he failed in IPL 2023. Nishant Sindhu is in good form and will hope to leave an impact. This trio will also form the spin attack for the XI.
Bowlers: Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Harshit Rana and Akash Singh
Both Rajvardhan and Harshit can bat a bit and this might be the plan for Indian Team going forward in the shorter formats. Harshit Rana has been doing well and could even get a chance in the Indian Team soon. Akash Singh will look to make it a more memorable year with a few strong performances.
