All teams are sure that the players can get ready for the coming season. With the start coming near, every team is also unveiling their kit for the IPL 2024. A number of teams have revealed their jerseys for the coming season.

On Saturday (March 16), Punjab Kings also revealed their new jersey in an event held in Chandigarh. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan, pacer Arshdeep Singh, and wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, along with co-owner Preity Zinta, were present at the event. The red colour has been used in the newly launched jersey, which is totally different from PBKS’ previous jersey, which was a mix of red and grey.

However, the Bollywood actress revealed the reason for choosing the colours for the new jersey. At the event, she said that there was an instruction from the BCCI to avoid grey, white, and silver colours in the jersey.

She said, “Earlier, we had a combination of red, grey, and silver, but then the BCCI banned silver, grey, and white due to sighting issues with the ball.” That is the reason that most of the teams have mostly used blue and red colours.

PBKS will look to do well this time around. They are the only team that has not made the playoffs since 2014. Until now, Punjab has only made the top four twice. Meanwhile, CSK will look to defend their title and win their sixth one. With the T20 World Cup 2024 also coming up in June, all the big names have come back to the tournament. So this is going to be a high-voltage season for the IPL.
