Prithvi Shaw was one of the most high-profile youngsters in the Indian domestic era when he broke into the Indian cricket team. Shaw made a remarkable entry and slammed the third-fastest test ton on debut. He played his first test match against the West Indies in Rajkot and scored 134 runs.

But he played his last international game for India in July 2021, which was an ODI game against Sri Lanka. On the other hand, his last test appearance came against Australia in December 2020. Since then, the 23-year-old has been sidelined by the Indian team.

He is one of the few Indian players who led the country to a U19 World Cup win. Meanwhile, his domestic performance has also been pretty good, but he couldn’t cement his place on the team. So far, he has played only 5 Tests, 6 ODIs, and 1 T20I.

In his recent interview with Cricbuzz, Shaw revealed that he likes to stay on his own and doesn’t want to make friends. He also stated that he didn’t know the real reason why he was dropped from the team.

Shaw said, “When I was dropped (from the Indian team), I didn’t get to know the reason. Someone was saying it could be fitness. But of course I came here (to Bengaluru) and cleared all the tests at the NCA, again scored runs and again came back to the T20 team. But again didn’t get a chance in the West Indies.”

He also added that he doesn’t like to make friends and has very limited friends because he is scared of sharing thoughts with others. Shaw said, ‘I’m scared to share my thoughts. Somehow all of it comes up on social media.”

He made a bold statement and said that he is afraid of going out because people will harass me and post something on social media. He concluded, “Wherever I go, trouble follows. I’ve stopped stepping out altogether.”
