Gurbaz, without disturbing sleeping individuals on the curbs, placed money beside them and departed in his car.

Despite Afghanistan concluding their 2023 ODI World Cup with a loss to South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Hashmatullah Shahidi and his team showcased a commendable performance, finishing sixth overall.

Noteworthy victories against Pakistan and England, along with a formidable challenge to five-time champions Australia at the Wankhede Stadium, marked their campaign.

Gurbaz contributed 280 runs in nine matches with an average of 31.11 and a strike rate of 98.93. While he achieved fifties in wins against England and Pakistan, his form dwindled towards the end, scoring only 56 runs in the last four matches.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz is very well connected with the nation. His deeper understanding of the nation grew during his debut Indian Premier League (IPL) stint with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) earlier this year.

As a result of finishing in the top 8 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 points table, Afghanistan have now also qualified for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 that is to be played in Pakistan.
