Chasing the target, South Africa lost their 3 wickets for 86 runs in the first 10 overs. But then, something happened that changed the complexity of the match. India’s Shreyas Iyer dropped a sitter of a struggling Rassie van der Dussen, who then later went on to punish the bowlers, scoring 75 runs not out. He well supported an explosive inning of David Miller, who was named Man of the Match for his 64 runs at a strike rate of 206.45.

After the match, Dussen said that, after Shreyas Iyer dropped his catch, he knew he had to punish the Indian team since he had taken enough balls to settle in.

“When Shreyas dropped it, I knew I had to make them pay because I took the balls to get myself in,” said the explosive right-hand batsman.
