Who is George Garton?

George Garton is a 24-year-old left-arm pacer from England. He represented the Southern Brave, the team that won the inaugural edition of the Hundred. In fact, he was one of the most important players to help the side lift the trophy. In the finals, the player opened the bowling for his side and bowled 20 balls to give away just 27 runs. He took the wicket of David Bedingham in the final. The catch-taker was Tim David, incidentally another new RCB signing.

The player has been part of 37 T20 games so far and enjoys an average of 19.51 to go along with the 43 wickets that he has picked. Apart from doing well in the shortest format, George is also a good bowler in the red-ball version. Many feel he would have a bright future in the whites too.
