Rinku Singh jumps 46 places in the ICC T20I Ranking, Suryakumar Yadav extend lead over Mohammad Rizwan

India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, solidified his lead in the ICC men’s T20I Batters Rankings after a stellar 36-ball 56 in the second T20I against South Africa. With a total of 865 rating points, he maintains a significant lead of 78 points over the second-placed Rizwan. Rinku Singh, following an impressive unbeaten 39-ball 68 and his maiden T20I half-century, soared 46 places to claim the 59th spot.

South Africa’s captain Aiden Markram advanced with 758 rating points, while opener Reeza Hendricks moved to eighth place after his 49-run knock. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the only other Indian batter in the top 10, missed the second T20I due to illness. Tilak Varma climbed 10 spots to 55th after a cameo in the powerplay overs.

In the bowling rankings, recently crowned no.1 T20I bowler Ravi Bishnoi, who was omitted from the first T20I, shares the top spot with Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan at 692 rating points. Tabraiz Shamsi, named ‘Player of the Match,’ rose one spot, surpassing an injured Anrich Nortje. Kuldeep Yadav, included in the squad, jumped five places to 32nd after taking one wicket and conceding 26 runs from three overs.

In the all-rounder rankings, Aiden Markram moved up two spots, surpassing Mohammad Nabi and India’s Hardik Pandya. Markram, contributing with both bat and ball, claimed the wicket of Jitesh Sharma and conceded 29 runs.

In Test rankings, New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips rose to 55th on the batter rankings and 24th on the list of all-rounders. Ajaz Patel, the left-arm spinner who took six wickets in the second innings vs Bangladesh, moved up seven places to 33rd on the Test bowlers list. Bangladesh’s Mehidy Hasan and Nayeem Hasan also ascended to the 21st and 44th spots, respectively.
