In the UPT20 match, the Meerut Mavericks clinched an important 42-run triumph over the Noida Super Kings, securing their sixth win in the competition. Meerut Mavericks established a formidable score of 176/10, with remarkable performances by Rinku Singh and Madhav Kaushik being the driving force behind their innings.

Set the task of setting a target by the Noida Super Kings, the Meerut Mavericks had a subdued powerplay, losing both openers, Shoaib Siddiqui and Parth Jain in the powerplay itself. Rinku Singh and Madhav Kaushik then illuminated the innings with a boundary-rich partnership, amassing 98 runs.

Rinku Singh reached his first half-century of the tournament in just 31 balls, featuring four fours and four sixes, before succumbing to Shiven Malhotra. But, some great display from both Kaushik and other batters around him led the Meerut side to a formidable total of 176 runs on the board.

In response, the Noida Super Kings managed to accumulate 48 runs while losing the aggressive Manish Solanki and Saubhagya within the first six overs. Despite falling behind the required run rate, stand-in captain Samarth Singh (in-place of Nitish Rana) displayed determination to steer the Noida Super Kings towards victory. He formed a 33-run partnership with Manu Kashyap, before Kashyap was dismissed by Yuvraj Yadav.

Noida were left struggling at 75 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 10.1 overs. Noida’s chances further dwindled in the 14th over, with the dismissal of Prashant Veer and the run-out of Osho Mohan orchestrated by Vishal Chaudhary. The following over proved to be fatal, as Samarth Singh also went back to pavilion. With only three wickets in hand, Noida faced an insurmountable challenge and ultimately fell short at 134/10 in 17.5 overs.
