This will be the last match, and both teams will look to end the series on a winning note. The young Indian side has done a pretty commendable job so far and given tough competition to Australia. Batters have done their job, while the bowlers have picked up crucial wickets.

But one man who has stood tall in almost every game is Ruturaj Gaikwad. The right-hander has given India some steady starts and started well with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The CSK opener is also the highest run scorer in the series and the only Indian batter to score a hundred in this series.

Gaikwad has scored 213 runs at a strike rate of over 161 in the series, despite getting out of a diamond duck in the first game. None of the other batters have reached 150 from either side. With the final game coming up, he has a great chance to write history.

Notably, the record for the most runs in a T20I bilateral series by an Indian is held by Virat Kohli, who scored 231 runs. Gaikwad needs only 19 runs to break that record. If he can do it in the fifth game, he will score more runs for India in a bilateral series.

On the other hand, Gaikwad will also look to end the series by adding some more runs to his tally before heading to South Africa. The three-match T20I series against South Africa will start on December 10. The CSK opener is part of all three squads on the coming tour. India will play three T20Is, three ODIs, and two Tests on the South Africa tour.
