During his appearance on Samaa TV, Shahid Afridi discussed the appointment of Shaheen Shah Afridi as the Lahore Qalandars skipper. Many fans would know that Shaheen is soon going to be the son-in-law of Shahid, and the former Pakistan captain advised him the rising star that he should not accept captaincy. Shahid felt that Shaheen should work on his bowling for one or two years more before taking up the leader’s role.

However, Shahid felt that Shaheen was also an ‘Afridi’ so he ignored his advice. Nevertheless, he was looking forward to prove him wrong just like Babar Azam proved him wrong. Shahid said that Babar proved him wrong because he did not expect the batter to achieve so much success as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team.
