India defeated Pakistan easily at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the 2023 ODI World Cup. At one point, Pakistan threatened to put on a big total. However, they could not do it and it was enough for India to win the match.
India beat Pakistan with ease
India had a tough start to the game with the Pakistan openers getting off to a good start. However, after the openers fell in quick succession, Pakistan were put under pressure. The tides changed again as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stitched a wonderful partnership to take the game away from India. They were looking at a big score in the first innings. However, it was not to be.
Once Siraj took Babar’s wicket, it was a massive collapse for the visitors. They could not play the Indian bowlers and in the end, they were all out within 200. With such a small score, it was always going to be an easy win for Team India. Rohit Sharma ensured that with yet another brilliant knock. Shreyas Iyer also chipped in with a fifty to close the game.
Sachin trolls Shoaib
Before the match, it was Shoaib Akhtar who had a rather aggressive sledge at the Indian fans with a picture of him taking the wicket of Sachin. The Master Blaster returned back after India won the game. Here is what he said:
