It will be a big blow for England, who will also be without the services of Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer. Sam Curran is someone who would have added terrific balance to the team. Sam’s brother Tom Curran has been announced as the replacement. Sam would now return to England and will undergo further scans.

The youngster also talked about the current prospects for CSK. He said that he would be hopeful of them lifting the trophy. On this, he told, “I am going to be supporting them from wherever I am in the next few days, once it has all sunk in. I am sure they can go all the way and lift the trophy.”

For CSK, too, the absence of Sam Curran will be a big miss. They will now have to continue with the combination of Dwayne Bravo and Josh Hazlewood. After IPL 2021, there are chances that Chennai Super Kings would retain the player.
