The Indian Premier League 2024 is moving to its peak with a record-breaking viewership on the very first day of the tournament. Rajasthan Royals are the only team that has started the IPL 2024 with three consecutive wins. That is why they are at the top of the points table.

They beat the five-time champion Mumbai Indians last night at Wankhede Stadium comprehensively. RR is looking pretty good as they continue their winning streak in the competition. They have a settled team in both departments. One of the biggest positives for them is the form of Riyan Parag.

The 22-year-old is the Orange Cap holder in the IPL 2024 with the joint-most runs. He has scored 181 runs in three innings at an average of 181 and a strike rate of 160.18. He scored runs in all three games, coming off two match-winning half-centuries.

Riyan scored an unbeaten 54 off 39 against MI to take his team over the line against MI. In three matches this season, he has scored 70 percent of the runs that he has scored in the last two seasons. That tells the story of his comeback. RR’s batting coach, Shane Bond, praised the youngster and also compared him with Suryakumar Yadav.

In a post-match presentation, Bond said, “He sort of reminds me a little bit of Surya, who came to Mumbai a few years ago. He looks like that. He has just matured as a cricketer.” Bond also said the main focus of the team is doing well and staying in winning ways. RR has Trent Boult and Nandre Burger with the new ball and Yuzi Chahal and Ravi Ashwin as spinners.

This is the best combination a team can wish for. Meanwhile, Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma are also doing well in the final overs. That is the main mantra for RR’s success so far. Boult bowled a superb spell of 3/22 against MI and won the MOTM award. RR will now face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 6 in Jaipur.
