Over the last few months or so, Shardul Thakur has been in solid form across formats. In Tests, it all started in Gabba where he managed to score some important runs and take a few crucial wickets. In England, too, Thakur repeated the same. Now, in South Africa, as well, Thakur took a seven-wicket haul to help India stay in the game.
In the limited-overs format, too, the Mumbaikar has been in good form. He did well in IPL 2021 and for India, also, the bowling all-rounder has contributed with important scalps.

Shardul revealed that he got the title in the home England series in which he took consecutive wickets in a couple of games. This was after the tour of Australia and before IPL. Since then, Thakur’s “Lord” prefix has become more popular.
