The ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has seen some incredible performances so far. This has been a high-scoring tournament that has produced some incredible individual and team performances. Team India has been at its absolute best at the moment and was the first team to qualify for the semi-finals.
They have beaten every opponent in this tournament so far and have been undefeated. The Indian batters have done a tremendous job and scored runs against every opponent. Then the Indian bowlers outperformed the opposition in almost every game. Indian bowlers have dismissed 7 out of 8 oppositions they have played so far.
It has been astonishing as the Indian pacers, in particular, have made ball talk. However, there are some who are not able to digest the success of the Indian pacers. Former Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza went on to make a silly statement and said on a local TV show that the Indian bowlers are getting a different ball from the ICC, which swings more.
That statement was even criticized by many former Pakistani cricketers, including Wasim Akram. Furthermore, Raza also said that the BCCI is manipulating the DRS and taking advantage of it. He said it following the dismissal of Rassie van der Dussen off Ravindra Jadeja in Kolkata.
These statements have caught the attention of many, and there has been talk about them in the cricket world. Indian veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has now responded to it. He took to his Instagram story and slammed Hasan Raza for his statement.
Shami wrote, “Sharm karo yaar game par focus karo na ki faltu bakwas par kabi to dusre ki success ko enjoy kia karo chiii yar ICC World Cup hai apk local tournament, nahi hai or Ap player hi the na. Wasim bhai ne samjhaya hai; explain kia tha phir bhir. Hahahahhahahaah. Apne player, apne Wasim akram par yakin nahi apko. Apna tarif karne main lage hai janab apto just like a wow.”
