The two neighbours share a big rivalry and it has just gotten intense over the last couple of years and nothing else. Both India and Pakistan have produced some really talented players over the years which has made this rivalry even more exciting to watch.

However, the fans are having to wait months and months to see these two teams play against each other. Due to the political reasons, both the teams no longer plays a bilateral series anymore since last in 2013. They now only face off in the multi-team events like the World Cup and the Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar recently talked about rivalry between the two teams of which he has been a massive part of. He has shared some great rivalry with the Indian batters, especially Sachin Tendulkar.

While talking in a show on Star Sports prior to the Asia Cup 2022, Shoaib Akhtar stated that Pakistan team use to take a lot of pressure while playing India during his playing day. He added that media played a huge role in creating hype before a match which got the Pakistan players pressurized.

He also touched upon the great Sachin Tendulkar and his rivalry with him. Sachin have always had great outing against Pakistan’s top pace bowling attack, especially Shoaib Akhtar.

Akhtar said that many batter used to fear playing against him barring the one and only Sachin Tendulkar. “Sachin played me the best during the 1999 World Cup. All the other batters were scared of me at that time. Many batters of the world used to stop moving their feet against me,” Akhtar said.
