The Indian team for the upcoming Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2022 has been announced. Many youngsters have got opportunity and one of them is Siddharth Yadav of Ghaziabad, who has also got a place in this team.

The story of Siddharth’s success is very emotional. Siddharth Yadav’s father Shravan Yadav runs a grocery store in Ghaziabad.

After his son’s selection in the Indian team, Shravan’s shop and his face have grown reputation in the last couple of days. With this, the struggle of Shravan is also going to end. He is living his childhood dream through his son. What dream I heard you ask.

According to the news of the Indian Express, Shravan Yadav, Siddharth Yadav’s father, wanted to play for the Indian team since childhood, but in cricket, he remained just a net bowler and use to bowl to former India cricketer Manoj Prabhakar.

After this, he decided to make his son a cricketer. Shravan had to give up his life-long dream of becoming cricketer and opened a grocery store in his locality. He then went through a humungous struggle to take his son to a place where he can full his (Shravan’s) dream.

Siddharth Yadav’s father told Indian Express that when Siddharth got hold of the bat for the first time, he stool left-handed. His mother objected to this, but Shravan said that this would be his batting stance now. Since then Siddhartha has become a left-handed batsman.

Practice was the biggest challenge as he grew up. For this, Shravan used to close his shop every day from 2 pm to 6 pm and used to take his son to practice.

When Siddharth was eight years old, his father started preparation to make him a cricketer. From this time onward, he decided that Siddhartha has to practice for at least three hours daily.

After this, he started taking him to the field every day and started practicing by throwing the ball himself. During this, Siddharth was trained to play with the face of the bat and now his hard work is paying off.

Siddharth will be among the 17 young lad’s who will be travelling to West Indies in New As India looks to record their 5th U19 World Cup. India starts their campaign against South Africa U19 Team on the 15th of January. Ireland and Uganda are the other teams in India’s group along with South Africa.
