Sunil Gavaskar’s son Rohan gives hilarious reply to a fan who asked him when did he play and retire

Former Indian player Rohan Gavaskar played 11 ODI matches for the Indian cricket team. While he could not the same success as his father, the great Sunil Gavaskar, Rohan did a decent job and scored 151 runs, with his highest score being 54. He also took one wicket in his career.

Like his father, Rohan Gavaskar decided to become a commentator after retiring from all formats of cricket. He is a member of the IPL 2022 commentary panel, but one of the fans tried to pull his leg by asking when he played and retired from cricket.

Rohan gave a light-hearted response to that fan. He quoted the tweet and posted a photo of himself batting during his childhood days. Gavaskar captioned the photo as follows:

While Gavaskar did not have a long international career, he played 117 first-class matches and 126 List-A games in his career. The southpaw scored 6,938 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 44.19. His highest score in that format of the game was 212, whereas in List-A cricket, his best score was 101*.

Rohan Gavaskar played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL

While he was born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Gavaskar played domestic cricket for Bengal and even represented Bengal’s team in Indian T20 leagues. He represented the Shah Rukh Khan-owned Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, whereas in the ICL, he played for the Kolkata Tigers team.

My feeling is that Dinesh Bana will be one of the u19 cricketers that a lot of ipl teams will keep an eye out for in the future.
