However, he is one of the oldest player in the IPL 2024. The all-rounder is currently 36 years and 242 days old and might near completing 37 by the end of the IPL final.
2. Ajinkya Rahane
Former Indian Test captain Ajinkya Rahane will be a key player for CSK. After the retirement of Ambati Rayudu, Rahane has an important role in CSK batting, which he did for them in the last season and was one of the reasons that Chennai won the title. Rahane scored 326 runs in 11 innings at a brilliant strike rate of 172.49. He is currently 35 years and 254 days old and will be almost 36 by the end of the IPL final.

MS Dhoni will be playing in his 17th IPL edition, and he is still as fit as any in the coming tournament. Dhoni is, in fact, the oldest cricketer to play in the IPL 2024. The CSK captain is currently 42 years and 223 days old. He will be back, captaining the team. However, he confirmed in the last season that it might be the last season for him. So he will look to make it more memorable and take Chennai to the sixth title.
