Teams started scoring 300 runs very easily and then 400 runs were also achieved after that. So far, many times a score of more than 400 has been made in ODI cricket. South Africa has scored more than 400 runs 6 times. At the same time, the Indian team has also scored more than 400 runs 5 times.
For the first time in ODI cricket, 400 runs were scored by the Australian team. They achieved the feat against South Africa in Johannesburg on 12 March 2006 and on the same day South Africa also scored 400 runs against Australia.
England
The England cricket team is at the third position in this list. England has so far achieved the 400 mark 5 times in ODI cricket. England first achieved the 400-run mark against New Zealand in 2015. After that the English team scored 400 runs against Pakistan, Australia, West Indies and Netherlands. Most recently, England scored 498 for the loss of 4 wickets against the Netherlands, which is the highest score not only in One Day Internationals but also in List A cricket.
India
Indian team is second in this list. India has also scored 400 or more in ODI cricket so far 5 times. First time Indian team scored 400 against Bermuda in Port of Spain on 19 March 2007. India scored 413 with the help of Virender Sehwag’s 114, Sourav Ganguly’s 89 and Yuvraj Singh’s 83, in reply Bermuda’s team could only manage 156 runs and the Indian team won the match by 257 runs. After that, India scored 400 against Sri Lanka twice and once each against South Africa and West Indies.
South Africa
The South African cricket team holds the record of scoring most 400 runs in ODIs. South Africa has achieved more than 400 figures in ODIs 6 times. South Africa first scored 400 runs against Australia in 2006. Everyone was surprised by the feat that the Proteas team had done at that time. Playing first, Australia had scored 434 runs and South Africa still managed to achieve the target. It was absolutely impossible to achieve this target then but South Africa had done this feat. Apart from Australia, South Africa has scored 400 runs twice against West Indies and once against Ireland, Zimbabwe and India.
