Post the World Cup 2011 win, MS Dhoni gained massive popularity for his winning six. He knew that the Indian Cricket won’t survive long with some of the famous yet old stars. Hence, he decided to rebuild the team by including youngsters and dropping out some legendary cricketers like Sehwag, Gambhir, and Yuvraj. Even though it sparked a whole new controversy at that time, eventually, the Indian cricket benefitted it in the long term from that move.
1.A silent Test retirement
MS Dhoni shook the whole Cricketing fraternity when he suddenly announced that he was all set to retire from Test format. Nobody knew that he would take this decision so rapidly as he still had some more years of Test cricket left in him. However, his retirement without a farewell match might have saddened the environment but once again proved his selflessness in this field.
