Fab Four is the category of batsmen who are generational talents for their respective countries. They are known for their exemplary skills with the bat and hence, have joined the list. It is a term that has been coined only recently. However, recently, on Twitter, there was a discussion on the players who can be a part of the all-time “fab four” list. In this article, we take a look at the all-time “fab four” batsmen that Vinod Kambli has named recently on Twitter.
Fab Four is the elite list of batsmen at the moment
For this generation, Fab Four involves Virat Kohli, Joe Root, Steve Smith and Kane Williamson. All these four players have single-handedly won games for their country and hence, are deservedly part of the list. However, a few players from this list are not in great form recently. The likes of Steve Smith and Joe Root are not doing well in the shorter formats. Hence, former players such as Wasim Akram have stated that it is time that Babar Azam is considered in this list.
All-time ”Fab Four” Batsmen in the game
In a recent discussion, former India cricketer Vinod Kambli named his all-time fab-four in the game’s history. The list included Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Sir Vivian Richards.

However, a few did not approve of Kambli’s opinion. He has selected three Indians out of the four. Hence, a few felt that it was biased. However, skill-wise, Kambli’s choices seemed apt. Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli have aced both formats while Virat has also done well in the T20s. Of course, Gavaskar and Sir Viv Richards were legends of their time. Some users opined that even Don Bradman could have been a part of the list.
