However, the renowned Indian cricketer has recently taken a stance against misinformation concerning him. Just a few days ago, he discredited assertions about his earnings from social media.

In a fresh development, Kohli has now refuted a claim, circulated on Tuesday, that he and his spouse Anushka Sharma have plans to construct a cricket pitch at their residence in Alibaug.

Accompanied by a screenshot of the article, Kohli penned, “Even the newspaper I’ve been reading since childhood has now taken to publishing fake news.”

According to a prominent national newspaper’s report on Monday, Anushka and Virat made a substantial investment of Rs 19.24 crore in an 8-acre parcel of land in Alibaug with intentions to establish a farmhouse.

Citing information from another media outlet, the article additionally highlighted that Virat expressed a strong desire to include a cricket pitch within the premises. His active participation in overseeing the construction’s intricate aspects was also noted.

Just a few days ago, numerous media sources released claims that Kohli commands an astonishing INR 11.45 crore for each Instagram post. However, the ex-Indian captain chose to address the issue and discredit all the circulating reports.

Using his official Twitter account on Saturday morning, Kohli expressed his gratitude for all that he has achieved in his life, yet he firmly denounced the accuracy of the information regarding his social media earnings.

“While I am grateful and indebted to all that I’ve received in life, the news that has been making rounds about my social media earnings is not true,” Kohli shared.

Having been given a break for the T20I series against the West Indies, Virat Kohli has now concluded his stint in the Caribbean and is currently preparing for the upcoming Asia Cup, scheduled to commence on August 30. The Indian team’s first match in the tournament will be against their arch-rival, Pakistan, on September 2 in Pallekele.
