Going into the 3rd match day, the Indian cricket team, or quite popularly known as the Men in Blue, currently finds themselves 2nd last in the points table, ahead of Scotland in the Super 12 Group 2.

A win against Afghanistan is very much the only outcome that can keep India alive in the T20 World Cup 2021 after was handed defeat by Pakistan and New Zealand in their opening 2 matches, by a big margin.

All the players are now fully focused for the Afghanistan game, as the mighty Afghanistan cricket team cannot taken lightly, the Indian team very much knows that when Afghanistan was close to beating India in the 2019 Cricket World Cup 2019.

In a recently posted video on the Indian cricket team’s social media handle, Indian team captain Virat Kohli and vice captain Rohit Sharma was seen smashing the balls in the net.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who are senior most members of the Indian cricket team in this T20 World Cup 2021, have failed to score big runs. Virat Kohli scored 57 runs against Pakistan and 9 runs against New Zealand, whereas Rohit Sharma got out for a golden duck against Pakistan and scored 14 runs against New Zealand, which is quite surprising numbers given their stature.

Before going into the Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup 2021, the Indian cricket team had defeated England and Australia in the 2 warm-up matches that the Virat Kohli led team played.

India plays Afghanistan cricket team in their 3rd match of the T20 World Cup 2021 today, on the 3rd of November. After that, they will face off Scotland and Namibia on the 5th and 8th November.
