However, with both superstars having a huge fanbase, this comparison becomes more competitive over time. However, Afghanistan’s wicket-keeper batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, has now shared his opinion and picked the player among these two with the best cover drive.
The Afghan star himself is one of the best batters in modern-day cricket and plays some brilliant shots that are eye-catching. He has picked the former Indian captain as the player with the best cover drive in the game. In a recent Q&A session with ESPN Cricinfo, Gurbaz was asked about the best cover drive.

He picked Virat. Notably, both Virat and Babar have made this shot their trademarks and have mastered the art of it. Both play it pretty brilliantly and look elegant with their strides towards the pitch of the ball. Apart from this, Gurbaz was also asked about the best finisher for India between MS Dhoni and Rinku Singh.
However, the comparison didn’t look legit, but Rinku has certainly emerged as a potential finisher for India in the white-ball format. Gurbaz stated that there is no comparison between these two individuals and said that if there is a scenario of chasing 30 runs in the final over, Dhoni can do it.
Notably, Gurbaz is also part of the Kolkata Knight Riders and played with Rinku in the last season. He has been retained by the franchise for the coming season and will be seen in action in the IPL 2024. On the other hand, Rinku will be seen in action in the T20I series against South Africa.
