Now questions even arising on whether Kohli is in place for the a slot in the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2022, however, former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has picked his top 3 for India for the competition.

Once a great run machine who always was a nightmare for the bowlers, has been struggling to put up runs beside him. The great Indian batter was known for his great record of century every other match, but has not scored a single one from last in 2019, more than 3 years it has been.

Kohli’s record has been nothing impressive in the Indian Premier League (IPL) either. The great batter is struggling is all formats of the game and that has led to people now question whether Kohli should be picked for the T20 World Cup squad.

Meanwhile, veteran and legendary batsman Wasim Jaffer thinks that no matter what, Virat Kohli should be a part of the Indian squad that travels to Australia.

During a conversation on ‘CricChat Powered by Parimatch’ on the Sharechat app, Jaffer said that Virat Kohli will remain at his favourite number 3 position. He also went ahead with Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul as India’s opener for the tournament.

Virat will remain at his original number 3 position in the team. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul should open the inning for India,” said Jaffer. He also opined that he likes Team India’s agressive approach and thinks that India will win the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in Australia.

As for Team India’s fixtures in the competition, the Men in Blue will start their campaign on 23rd of October against their arch-rival Pakistan. The last time when the two teams faced off in T20 World Cup, Pakistan had recorded a 10 wickets win.

After the Pakistan fixture, the Men in Blue will take on the Group A’s 2nd place team and South Africa on the 27th and 30th of October. After that on the 2nd of November, they will take on the Bangladesh team and will wrap off their Super 12 round against Group B’s 1st place team.
