IPL 2020 runners-up Delhi Capitals have kicked off their preparations for the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League. The Capitals have performed brilliantly in the last three seasons. They reached the playoffs in 2019 and finished runners-up in 2020. Last year, DC topped the points table but lost both qualifier matches to crash out of the competition before the final.
The Delhi Capitals squad has underwent some changes ahead of IPL 2022. Star players like Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer are no longer a part of the franchise. But the team has added some game-changers like Shardul Thakur, K Khaleel Ahmed, Chetan Sakariya, David Warner and Mitchell Marsh.
Almost all members of the DC squad have reached Mumbai ahead of the IPL 2022 tournament. The Capitals quarantined for three days like other franchises and have kicked off their net sessions now. To give the players a break and to keep their energy levels high, the franchise has created two special zones.
The first is the DC tunnel where there are pictures of the roaring DC fans from the pre-COVID era. After that, they have a recreational room. The recreational room has many games like pool and table tennis for the players. You can watch the video of the two zones here:

Delhi Capitals will start their IPL 2022 season next Sunday
Delhi Capitals will open their IPL 2022 season against five-time champions Mumbai Indians on Sunday afternoon. The two teams played in the IPL 2020 Final, where MI beat DC.
The Rishabh Pant-led outfit will look to avenge that loss by defeating MI in Mumbai. It will be interesting to see how DC perform in IPL 2022.
