Although it looked like Australia would win the game after their performance on Day 1, the match is now heading to a close finish. The English Team, thanks to the batting performance by Dawid Malan and Joe Root, now stands a chance to go on and even win the battle.
Currently, England trails by 58 runs with as many as eight wickets in hand. There are two set batsmen and with the likes of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler to arrive, England can make a game out of it if they can get to a decent lead. Much of it depends on the morning session of Day 4.

Meanwhile, an interesting incident took place in the stands. An England fan proposed to his Aussie girlfriend in the stands. The Englishman, Rob Hale, had met his girlfriend Natalie when he toured the country during the Ashes in 2017. He was part of the Barmy Army then and had met the Australian woman. Rob proposed to Natalie, who was sporting an Australian jersey, and she accepted it.

Despite the rivalry, it was brilliant to see the couple. The commentators, too, expressed the same. A similar thing had happened a couple of years ago with an Indian fan and his Aussie girlfriend.
