Kuldeep Yadav’s international career has been nothing short of a roller-coaster as he has been in and out of the side. He has had a great start to his career as he had cemented his spot in the team. He was termed as next big thing in cricket world.

Alongside his counterpart Yuzvendra Chahal, Yadav was bowling effectively especially in middle phase of the match. He used to pick regular wickets which would put a break on other team’s acceleration. However, as time passed, he lost his rhyme and gradually lost his position.

Even in IPL, Yadav couldn’t deliver up to the mark to throw his name to the selectors for national team call. It was visible that he had lost his confidence which was further affecting his performances. His dip in form and the emergence of Varun Chakravarthy, made it hard for KKR to accumulate a spot for the left-handed spinner.

However, since he landed at Delhi Capitals, he has seemed to find his confidence and rhyme back. The new home has accepted him well with backing from the management to do well. Yadav had a decent IPL season last summer and he is now a regular member for India A team.

No one can forget Yadav’s magical delivery in the 2019 World Cup against Pakistan which dismissed highly rated Babar Azam. Notably, he has produced a similar delivery to beat Aiden Markram in the first ODI against South Africa. The batter had no answer to the magical delivery which went on to crash onto the stumps.

With 2023 World Cup approaching, Kuldeep would want to drop consistent good performances to grab an opportunity for the marquee event. However, it is still far from his reach as he has to win the faith of the selectors again which for now seems tough keeping the pool of spinners the Men in Blue have in their circuit.
