On Monday, these two teams locked horns in the 7th game of the inaugural MLC 2023 at Grand Prairie Stadium, which ended with a last-over finish. In the end, Faf du Plessis and his men came out victorious, and Texas won by 17 runs.

Batting first, TSK posted a challenging score of 154/7 in the first inning. Devon Conway was the top scorer with 74 off 55 balls, including eight fours and one six. Chasing the target, MINY ended their inning at 137/8 in 20 overs and lost the game.

It was the first ball of the 20th over when Daniel Sams bowled a length ball. David tried to hit it for a six and mistimed it completely. The ball went up in the air, and Du Plessis, who was at the boundary line, took a diving catch to dismiss the dangerous batter.

The TSK skipper could not score much and got out for just 8 runs. But his catch turned the game in favor of his team. Sams and Mitchell Santner picked up two wickets each for TSK. For MINY, Shayan Jahangir was the top scorer with 41 off 38.

This win has helped TSK climb to the top of the points table. They registered their second win of the season and now have four points with a NRR of +1.333. On the other hand, MINY suffered their second defeat in their third game, and they are third in the table.
