T20 cricket is full of surprises and it brings many unexpected moments which is never seen in the game of cricket. One such moment was recorded in the second game of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023 (TNPL).

It was the match between Salem Spartans and Chepauk Super Gillies in Coimbatore when Salem Spartans captain and fast bowler Abhishek Tanwar gave away 18 runs on the final delivery of the 20th over, making it the most ever runs conceded on a single delivery in a T20 game.

The game started with Chepauk winning the toss and deciding to bat first. They were 191/5 at the end 19th over but collected 26 runs in the last over, including a total of 18 runs on the final delivery of the 20th over.

Chepauk scored 8 runs off the first five delivery of the 20th over, then he bowled three consecutive no balls and one wide in attempt to complete the final delivery. He ended up bowling five balls to complete the last delivery.

Chepauk ended the first inning at 217/5. Pradosh Paul was the star with the bat. He scored 88 off 55, with 12 fours and one six. Pradosh Paul (35), Aparajith (29), and Sanjay Yadav (31 off 12) all contributed well.

Chasing the target, Salem lost the first four wickets for just 75 runs in 11 overs. They never looked in control of the chase. In the end, Salem ended up at 165/9 and lost the game by 52 runs.
