The Indian Premier League began in 2008, with the aim of offering young Indian cricketers a platform to showcase their talents to the world. This tournament has helped in the improvement of the Indian cricket team. On top of that, young Indian players have received an opportunity to work with great players of outside India. Kartik Tyagi has joined that list as he is taking tips from former South African cricket team fast bowler Dale Steyn.

Tyagi, who has played for India in the ICC U-19 World Cup, is now a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. Last year, he was with the Rajasthan Royals. Tyagi is famous for his express pace, but he has not made it to the senior Indian team yet.

The fast bowler will be keen to improve his bowling and win matches for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 so that he can make a case to play for India in the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled to happen later this year. In a recent video shared by Sunrisers Hyderabad, fast-bowling coach Dale Steyn had a conversation with Kartik Tyagi, where he said:

“Just gradual. You’re a Ferrari, you take off in the first gear, not the sixth gear. Slowly but surely, I want you get to the sixth gear.”

Kartik Tyagi has not played a single match for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 yet

Sunrisers Hyderabad have not used Tyagi’s services in any of their IPL 2022 matches so far. The right-arm pacer has been warming the benches as the team management has preferred the likes of T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umran Malik ahead of him.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their next match against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday afternoon. It will be interesting to see if Tyagi gets a game.
