Some big deals were cracked during the event, while some big superstars didn’t get any buyers for them. All in all, it has been a pretty exciting event that has produced some big money for the players. However, one name that made history is Kashvee Gautam.

The Indian uncapped all-rounder was signed by the Gujarat Giants for a whopping price of INR 2 crore. With this, she became the most expensive uncapped player at the WPL 2024 auction. Gujarat won the bidding war against the Mumbai Indians and signed the uncapped star for the coming season.

Who is Kashvee Gautam?

The 22-year-old is a right-arm pacer who caught attention during the women’s domestic Under-19 competition in 2020. She registered a ten-wicket haul that included a hat-trick as well. Gautam hails from Chandigarh and is a consistent performer for her team.

That performance earned her a chance to play in the Women’s T20 Challenge. But unfortunately, she went unsold at the auction for the inaugural WPL. But she had a brilliant Women’s T20 trophy where she took 12 wickets in just seven matches at an economy rate of 4.14. She was also part of the India’s U-23 squad for the ACC Emerging Tournament in Hong Kong, which India won.
