Yuzvendra Chahal, the former star bowler of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), jokingly invited South Africa legend and RCB’s fan favourite batter AB de Villiers to join Rajasthan Royals (RR), the former IPL champions if he decides to play again in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In a light-hearted conversation on AB De Villiers’ YouTube channel, the South African legend asked Chahal if he thought he had another season in him.
Chahal responded, “Absolutely, you can play for Rajasthan now.”
De Villiers shared a playful story about batting with his kids in the nets, rediscovering his skill for hitting the ball. Chahal complimented him, suggesting he could effortlessly hit sixes even in his 50s or 60s.
Despite De Villiers’ iconic status with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Chahal playfully directed him toward Rajasthan Royals.
As RCB’s all-time leading wicket-taker, Chahal has excelled in the IPL with 139 wickets in 113 matches. His recent performances with RR include 48 wickets in just 31 games over the past two IPL seasons.
