Gujarat Titans have recorded one win and one defeat in IPL 2024 so far. They started their season with a surprise win over the Mumbai Indians in Ahmedabad, but Chennai Super Kings exposed them badly when they traveled to Chennai for an away fixture last night.

Coach Ashish Nehra will have to rework his strategy now because the batting order of the Titans looks very weak after the departure of Hardik Pandya. Even the bowling does not look the same without Mohammed Shami in the team.

Here’s a look at the two probable changes which the Gujarat Titans should make for their next IPL 2024 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday afternoon.

    1. Gujarat Titans should give a chance to Shahrukh Khan

The anchor role of Sai Sudharsan has not worked for him so far in IPL 2024. It will be better if the GT franchise opts for an all-out approach in batting like the Kolkata Knight Riders instead of trying to build an innings. If needed, Shubman Gill can play the anchor’s role as the captain.

Vijay Shankar is another good option for that role. GT must pick explosive batter Shahrukh Khan in the playing XI so that the run rate does not stagnate in the middle overs.

    2. Noor Ahmad in for Spencer Johnson

The pressure of the price tags makes the franchises make such decisions which they do not want to take. RCB have been playing Alzarri Joseph over Will Jacks and Lockie Ferguson just because of his price tag. Similarly, GT have been playing Spencer Johnson because they spent 10 crore on him. They have a much better bowling option in Noor Ahmad, who was outstanding in the final. Yet, GT have surprisingly benched him.
