Punjab Kings started their IPL 2024 season with a four-wicket win over the Delhi Capitals. The Kings have the momentum by their side, and considering how they have dominated against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL, the Punjab-based franchise will start as the favorites to win tomorrow as well.

It will be a challenging game for RCB, and they should make the following two changes to ensure that the team gets back to the winning track.

    1. RCB should drop Alzarri Joseph and include Lockie Ferguson

On any day, Lockie Ferguson is a better bowler than Alzarri Joseph. However, since the auction tactics forced Royal Challengers Bengaluru to spend big on Joseph, the Bengaluru-based franchise picked him in their playing XI for the fixture against the Chennai Super Kings.

Joseph had just one gameplan – hit bouncers. It failed miserably, and he became predictable. It will be better for the Royal Challengers if they leave Joseph out and pick a bowler like Ferguson, who has achieved enormous success in the IPL.

    2. Suyash Prabhudessai in for Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar’s confidence has reduced considerably after he debuted for India. He struggled in ODI, he struggled in Tests, and now he had a bad outing with the bat in the IPL. Perhaps, Bengaluru should rest Patidar for this match and give him a short break. Suyash Prabhudessai can take up his place.
