Gujarat Titans have suffered two losses on a trot in IPL 2024. The former IPL champions have struggled in matches away from home this year. They first lost against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and then suffered a defeat at the hands of the Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium.

Now, the Titans have landed in Jaipur for a match against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium. The Royals defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their last game on this ground. It will require a special effort from the Titans to stop the Royals in the match tomorrow evening.

While the Titans do not make so many changes to their squad, they might make the following two alterations to their match squad for the next IPL 2024 fixture against the Rajasthan Royals.

    1. Gujarat Titans can bench Kane Williamson to include Abhinav Manohar

Kane Williamson is struggling to cement his place in the Gujarat Titans playing XI. The problem is that GT already have Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan for the anchor’s role. With David Miller injured, GT tried to replace him with Williamson, but that experiment failed in the last two matches.

Perhaps, the Titans can consider giving Abhinav Manohar a chance. In the last two seasons, Manohar performed brilliantly for the Ahmedabad-based franchise.

    2. Matthew Wade in for BR Sharath

GT raised many eyebrows when they included BR Sharath in the playing XI for the last match against Lucknow Super Giants. Wriddhiman Saha was injured, and the next man to keep the wickets should have been Australia’s Matthew Wade. He can play as an opener or a finisher as well. Wade deserves to play the next game against RR.
