Rajasthan Royals suffered their first defeat of IPL 2024 last night against the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium. Half-centuries from Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag went in vain as GT pulled off a win from the jaws of defeat last night in Jaipur.

The Royals surprisingly made some changes to their match squad last night even though they had won all of their previous four matches, including all the home games they played. They will now travel to Mullanpur for a match against arch-rivals Punjab Kings in the IPL 2024 Rivalry Week.

Considering the way the Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson had no idea about the changes in his team last night, the skipper would like to take charge back and make the changes he wants in his side. Here’s a look at the two changes which RR might make for their next clash against PBKS.

    1. Rajasthan Royals might leave out Kuldeep Sen for Nandre Burger

Rajasthan’s team management raised many eyebrows when they left out left-arm fast bowler Nandre Burger for Kuldeep Sen. While Kuldeep is a decent bowler, the left-arm combination of Burger and Trent Boult was doing a fantastic job for the team in the powerplay overs.

It should not be a surprise if the Royals leave out Kuldeep for the next game. Burger deserves to share the new ball with Boult.

    2. Tanush Kotian in for Keshav Maharaj

Rajasthan went in with an extra spinner in the form of Keshav Maharaj for their last match against the Gujarat Titans. Like many foreign spinners, Maharaj failed to make an impact in the game. He could make way for uncapped spinner Tanush Kotian, who joined RR as a replacement for Adam Zampa.
