    1) Azhar Mahmood

Played internationals for Pakistan but was part of IPL representing England

It is well-known that Pakistan players are not allowed in IPL. Hence, despite playing for them in international cricket, it was as an Englishman that Azhar played in IPL. He had attained an English passport and was eligible to play in the competition. He represented teams such as Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders. The all-rounder was not able to leave an impact in the competition and later was unsold in the subsequent auctions.

Tanmay Mishra is one of the cricketers who played internationals for one nation but took part in IPL representing a different country. If a player is from the associate nation, it is hard to find a spot in an IPL Team. Tanmay was once a crucial part of the Kenya Cricket Team. He even played in the 2011 50-over World Cup for them. However, he had an Indian passport and therefore became eligible to take part in IPL as a domestic signing. He represented Deccan Chargers in 2012 and then Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014.
