Legends League Cricket is one of the best leagues for retired players. The 2024 edition is happening soon. Recently, the auctions were held for the same. Interestingly, some of the former IPL coaches are also a part of the league. Here, we take a look at the list of two former IPL coaches who are playing in Legends League Cricket 2024.
It was with the IPL that many leagues cropped up across the globe. The reception was so good that some stakeholders started a league for retired players, as well. This is also finding success. It is proof enough of the penetration of the game.
1) Mohammed Kaif is one of the former IPL coaches playing in Legends League Cricket 2024
Kaif did not have a great run in the IPL. He played for teams such as RR and RCB but could not get success. Nevertheless, he found an opportunity as a coach in the IPL. He was assistant to Ricky Ponting at Delhi Capitals for a while. However, a few seasons ago, he had to exit from the franchise. Since then, he has not been associated with any IPL outfit.
2) Pravin Tambe
Pravin Tambe is one of the former IPL coaches who are playing in Legends League Cricket 2024. The Mumbai cricketer had a late start in his career. It was in his late thirties that he started playing in the Indian Premier League. Rajasthan Royals was able to give him an opportunity and he grabbed it well. Later, after retirement, he has been a part of multiple IPL teams in the backroom. He worked as a coach at KKR and also was a spin-bowling consultant for LSG. Having played competitive cricket at a late age, he can be expected to do well in LLC, as well.
