Legends League Cricket 2024 began a few days ago in Jodhpur. Six teams, namely Gujarat Greats, Toyam Hyderabad, India Capitals, Manipal Tigers, Konark Suryas Odisha and Southern Superstars are a part of this competition.
2011 World Cup winning player Suresh Raina is the captain of the Hyderabad-based franchise in LLC 2024. Last year, this team was known as the Urbanrisers Hyderabad, and they finished runners-up in the tournament, losing against the Manipal Tigers in the final.
This year, the Hyderabad team has rebranded itself as Toyam Hyderabad, and they have retained the yellow color as their primary color for the jersey. Interestingly, the team also has a connection with the Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL team as the following two former SRH players are playing for them in LLC 2024.
1. Bipul Sharma is playing for Toyam Hyderabad in Legends League Cricket 2024
Bipul Sharma is one of the most underrated all-rounders in IPL history. He had stints with Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. SRH fans will always remember him for his contributions in the playoffs of the 2016 season, where the Orange Army won their only championship.
This year, Sharma is turning up for the Hyderabad team in the Legends League Cricket tournament. He retired from all formats of professional cricket and IPL a few years ago. David Warner also reached out to him and congratulated him on his great career.
2. Sudeep Tyagi
Former Indian fast bowler Sudeep Tyagi came into the limelight after his impressive performances for the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Tyagi then moved to the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, but he did not get too many opportunities to play.
Injuries hurt Tyagi’s career a lot. Now, he has retired from all formats of domestic cricket and international matches. He has reunited with Suresh Raina, playing for the Hyderabad team in LLC 2024.
