Most of the other nations have adopted the approach of having different teams for different formats. For example, two members of the famous Fab 4 group, Steve Smith and Joe Root, have lost their places in their nation’s first-choice T20I teams. And there is Virat Kohli on the other side, who has been dominating the game in all three formats.

Like Virat Kohli, there have been a couple of Indian bowlers who have delivered the goods for the team across the multiple formats of the sport. The brilliant performances of these two players helped them become the number one bowler on the ICC ODI Rankings in different formats. Here’s a list of those two players:

    1. Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah

Current fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is the only pacer on this list. The right-arm pacer from Gujarat has been the biggest match-winner for India in the bowling department. It does not matter if it is Test, ODI or T20I, Bumrah can win matches for the team in any format.

Thanks to his versatility across the formats, Bumrah has achieved the unique distinction of attaining the world number one ranking in ODI Rankings as well as ICC T20I Rankings for Bowlers.

    2. Ravindra Jadeja

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has also achieved this feat. The left-arm spinner has achieved the record in Tests and ODIs. He is yet to attain the world number one position in ICC T20I Rankings for the Bowlers. It will be interesting to see if any bowler can achieve this feat.
