Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla made his ODI debut in the year 2007 as well. Chawla played 25 ODI matches for the Indian team from 2007 to 2011. While he was a member of the squad that won the 2011 Cricket World Cup, it is pertinent to note that Chawla was benched in a majority of the matches in the tournament.
Also, Chawla has not received a single chance to play ODI cricket since the year 2011. He recently made a memorable return to IPL in 2023, playing under Rohit’s leadership for the Mumbai Indians.
2. Praveen Kumar
Praveen Kumar has been one of the unluckiest cricketers in the game’s history. His new-ball bowling was unmatched, and it was almost a given that Praveen would start his spell with a maiden over. However, injuries impacted him a lot.
BCCI picked him in the 2011 World Cup squad, but Sreesanth replaced him due to an injury. Praveen witnessed many ups and downs in his short career. His injuries impacted his pace and performance as he played his last ODI match for India in 2012.
