West Indies will host a two-match ICC World Test Championship series against India this month. The series will begin on July 12 in Dominica, and the Indian squad has also reached the Caribbean islands for this series. They even played a two-day practice match with the squad members getting adjusted to the conditions properly.
India have named some new players in their squad for this World Test Championship series after losing the WTC Final 2023 against the Australian cricket team last month. Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the new names present in the squad. According to reports, Jaiswal is likely to make his Test debut in the upcoming series.

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad may not make his debut against West Indies
Ruturaj Gaikwad surprisingly earned a call-up to the Indian Test team for this series. Gaikwad has been performing well in the T20 format but the selectors have ignored him for the shortest format of the game and considered him for Test cricket instead.
With Yashasvi Jaiswal reportedly set to make his debut, it is likely that the selectors will give him at least two matches in this series. Rohit Sharma might open with him, whereas Shubman Gill could bat in the number three position.
2. Navdeep Saini
Another player who surprisingly received a place in the Test squad for the West Indies tour is fast bowler Navdeep Saini. He landed in England for a county stint when BCCI surprised everyone, including Saini himself, by naming him in the Test squad.
However, Saini may have to wait because Mohammed Siraj will likely lead the pace attack. Shardul Thakur might pip Saini because he can bat better, whereas Jaydev Unadkat could earn a place in the team because of his left-arm pace variation.
